Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Statutory Notice:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
1. Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
All consumer protections provided under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which is set out in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), apply fully to purchases made through our store. These statutory guarantees cannot be limited, modified, or excluded by our store policies.
1.1 Major Failures
A product is considered to have a major failure if it:

Is substantially unfit for its common purpose and cannot be easily fixed within a reasonable time; or

Is completely unsafe for consumer use.
In the event of a major failure, you have the absolute right to choose between a full refund, an identical replacement, or a product exchange of equal value.
1.2 Minor Failures
If the fault or defect is minor and can be repaired within a reasonable timeframe, Jhil Sttean reserves the right to offer you a free repair, a replacement item, or a full refund at our discretion.
2. Change of Mind Policy
Please note that under Australian law, online retailers are not legally required to accept returns or provide refunds for a "change of mind" (e.g., if you decide you no longer want the product, or if the style or size does not suit you after delivery).
However, as a premium brand, Jhil Sttean offers a voluntary change of mind policy under the following strict conditions:

Timeframe: The return request must be formally lodged within fourteen (14) days from the documented date of delivery.

Condition: The garment must be completely unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and undamaged, with all original tags, labels, and luxury packaging intact.

Exclusions: For hygienic reasons, intimate apparel, underwear, swimwear, socks, and customized or tailored garments are entirely excluded from change-of-mind returns.

Compensation: Approved change of mind returns will be issued via a Store Credit voucher or a direct size exchange. Original shipping charges are strictly non-refundable.
3. Return Shipping and Procedures
To initiate a return under either your statutory rights or our change of mind framework, please adhere to the following procedural steps:

Send a formal notification to our dedicated support email: contact@jhilsttean.store. Please include your full name, order reference number, clear photographs of any alleged manufacturing faults, and a brief description of the issue.

Once validated by our compliance team, you will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) code alongside the formal return address specifications.

Shipping Costs: For verified statutory failures (faulty or incorrect goods), Jhil Sttean will cover all return shipping expenses or fully reimburse reasonable postage costs incurred by the customer. For change of mind requests, the customer assumes full liability and cost for return transit. We strongly recommend using a tracked postal service, as Jhil Sttean cannot accept liability for items lost or damaged in transit.
4. Processing Timelines
Upon safe receipt of your returned package at our fulfillment center, our quality control inspectors will assess the condition of the items within five (5) business days. Following approval, refunds will be systematically applied to the original payment method utilized at checkout. Please allow up to seven (7) additional business days for banking institutions to clear and reflect the funds in your account.
